Emerging trends of Ziqun Nafas Shobi in females at padrayan pura Bangalore an Epidemiological study

Objective: The present study is a one-time observational cross sectional, fi eld survey based study under taken to know the prevalence of Ziqun Nafas shobi in Padrayanpura, Bangalore. Methods: The sample size was estimated 555 subjects based on known 15.32% prevalence of Ziqun Nafas Shobi in the Bangalore. Detail of the population and houses of the area were taken from the Bangalore Municipal Corporation. Face to face interview was performed using a structured pre tested questionnaire. Results: In the study population the prevalence of Asthma in Females according to age group among 0–14 years was 28.91%, among 15–29 years was 9.41%, among 30–44 years was 11.29%, among 45–60 years was 27.58%, among >60 years was 7.14 %. P= 0.0030, Chi-Square test showed that the finding were statistically significant. Interpretation and conclusion: It is concluded from the study that the prevalence of asthma is increasing day by day in Padrayanpura, the field area of NIUM, Bangalore, and it is more prevalent among female in 0–14 year’s age group as compared to other age group.
